The Fall Beat, September 2022
Did you know we provide landscaping services and outdoor lighting to homeowners?
While you know us for our commercial landscaping services, what you might not know is that we also provide landscaping and outdoor lighting services to individual residences. And because of our in-depth knowledge of how to work with larger commercial properties, our sweet spot in the residential market is high-end homes.
Here are a few shots we’re pretty proud of! Click to see larger images.
Help with Upcoming Proposal Season
We spend a lot of time trying to figure out what you need and how we can help. One of the biggest gaps we identified was advice on ‘what to watch out for’ when drafting a landscape services proposal.
To that end, we’ve developed “The Property Manager’s Pre-Bid Checklist: Setting the Stage for a Knockout Landscaping RFP.” Of all of the eGuides we’ve created, we think this one is a best seller (except it’s free). Use this guide to organize your solicitation strategy and help you choose the right landscaping partner to take care of your properties in 2023.
And if we’re not on your vendor list yet, please add us. We would love to get consideration for your 2023 landscaping needs.
Meet Our New Account Manager, Camilo
Camilo Lopez Vargas has a history of success in sales, sales management, and customer service. He has a strong work ethic and is known for taking ownership of client accounts and figuring out what they need. He was particularly attracted to Environmental Enhancements because of the company’s professionalism, attention to customer service, and the focus on client needs.
“Employees are clearly important to EE,” says Camilo. “They treat employees well, which creates high engagement and loyalty.”
While not a veteran of the landscape industry, Camilo was attracted to the company’s commitment to being good stewards of the environment. Camilo believes “going green” gives you a sense of peace, relaxes you, and teaches you to appreciate nature.
We are delighted to welcome Camilo to Environmental Enhancements!
Sustainable Landscaping Corner
Happy, Healthy Landscapes
As with any living organism, an environment that promotes natural resiliency, optimal growth, and disease resistance will make your landscapes look a thousand times better. Okay, so I made that number up, but you get the picture. And besides show-stopping gardens and grounds, you save money by maintaining your properties’ health: decreased replacement of plant materials, lower investment in insecticides and other treatments, fewer trees to take down.
We keep all our client properties on a schedule for promoting health: pre-emergents, fertilizers, (including deep root fertilizing), pruning, lime applications as needed, aeration, overseeding, grub control, water—the list goes on.
And don’t forget trees. Dying trees stick out like sore thumbs when someone drives up to your property in mid-winter, and often times, sick trees can infect other trees in the area if they’ve developed disease, blight, or a borer infestation. We can help you determine what’s going on with sick trees and formulate a treatment plan, which often involves spraying.
The bottom line is, even if you are not yet using organic solutions, you can still contribute to sustainable landscaping—and a healthier planet—by staying focused on monitoring your properties and adopting a preventive maintenance strategy.
Or you can let us do that for you! We have expertise in both conventional and all-natural solutions, so you can count on us to make the health of your landscapes a priority. Call us!
Cheers,
Mary Follin
