Let’s talk about water!

Since you’re the one who’s responsible for protecting your landscaping investment during the hot and dry months of summer, now is the time to make sure you have your services lined up.

If you have a multi-zone irrigation system, we can take care of it. If you don’t have one, we can install it. We also offer smart water systems, where your irrigation system can self-adjust based on weather and you can monitor the system from your cell phone. (You wouldn’t believe how sophisticated the monitoring tools are!)

And for those of you who aren’t ready to invest in an irrigation system, we would be happy to talk to you about our watering service.

We have watering options for every budget. Whichever one you choose, please make sure you’ve lined up your provider in the next few weeks. Reach out about your summer watering schedule if you haven’t already.

How Is Your Water Bill Impacted by Sustainable Landscaping?

One major benefit of ‘going organic’ is a significant reduction in water usage. A synthetic program ‘tightens’ the soil (which reduces water infiltration), doesn’t allow for water storage, and reduces root size.

Organic products positively impact soil structure, plant performance, and resident microbes. When microbes multiply, they help maintain spaciousness in the soil so water can move about freely, reaching all of the plant parts below ground and yielding a much larger, healthier root system, which in turn, reduces the need to replace unhealthy (or dead) plant materials.

An irrigation system is not required for an organic program, but it helps. We’re able to gauge the soil’s infiltration rate and schedule water accordingly. While there is an upfront investment for installation, irrigation systems quickly pay for themselves and start saving you money each year.
